Sifu Jeremy Perez is the Owner and Head Instructor at Family Wing Chun. He joined the Marines in 2006 at 17 years old, where he started his martial arts journey with the Marine Corps Martial Arts Program. After the Marine Corps, Sifu Perez continued learning at El Paso Community College, training in Kung Fu taught by Sifu Manny Ochoa.

He officially started Wing Chun Kung Fu under Sifu Gilbert Leal in January 2018 at Dragon Martial Arts in San Antonio, TX. Around the same time, Sifu Perez began Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with Boa Luta Academy under Coach Jose Gonzalez in Cotulla, TX. In 2020, he left Boa Luta Academy and started to train in Taekwondo (TKD) at JK TKD with Master Kim to join his sons. 

 

Sifu Perez obtained his 2nd-degree black belt in Wing Chun in August 2024 and continues to train. He has some experience in Tai Chi, Shaolin Kung Fu, Kali, Nunchucks, and Bo Staff.

During his training course, Sifu Perez began to teach martial arts to his middle school students in Cotulla, Tx. He currently teaches free classes to his students at STEM ECHS, where he works as a history teacher.
